The following are some of the programs and activities Emerging Professionals can participate in, initiate, or sponsor at the local chapter level. More information on each activity coming soon!
AEP Summit
Hosted once a year, the AEP Summit brings together Emerging Professionals from across the state for a one day forum where they will gain skills to serve as advocates for the built environment and mentorship, and experience leadership training to inspire their professional pursuits.
AEP Awards Program
To advance local and regional excellence, the AIA CA AEP developed an awards program to recognize and celebrate those who contribute to assisting EPs and their colleagues in pursuing their personal and professional goals.
AEP Roadshow
In order to better support the local AIA chapters, the AEP established the AEP Roadshows. These one day events hosted by local AIA chapters bring EPs together to learn more about the path to licensure, mentorship, advocacy, and leadership opportunities offered through the AEP and AIA in general.
Paul Welch ARE Scholarship
In recognition of former AIA CA Executive Vice President Paul W. Welch, Jr.’s distinguished and lengthy career of service to architects and the architectural profession, the Paul W. Welch, Jr. ARE Scholarship recognizes the significant contributions of California interns at early states in their careers and encourages them to complete the licensure process by covering all associated costs.
